Studio X is a group of creative people -- artists, sculptors, poets, musicians, photographers, crafters, collagists, quilters, jewelers, cooks -- who meet every six weeks to explore the creative process. Between meetings, group members work independently to create an interpretation of an assigned theme... no holds barred!   Browse through the links to "Past Projects" to get an idea of the scope of assigned topics and, more important, the amazing diversity of concepts dreamed up and executed by our members.  A $25 prize is awarded to the most creative and compelling piece.  More important, members share their creative thinking processes (including thoughts and processes that didn't work out).  This is a safe zone for individual expression in an open and accepting group environment.

Give us a try -- you have nothing to lose and you may find your own creative voice through Studio X.  You need not be present to win.  Just drop your piece off at the Ocean City Fine Arts League, 6th and Asbury, before 5:30 on the date of the meeting.  Be sure to include your name, contact information, and brief description of your work (media, thought processes, meaning, etc.)
